On Friday, May 12th, 2023, in Bali, Republic of Indonesia. Deputy Director General Department of Fisheries Together with the Thai delegation, the Thai-Indonesian Cooperation meeting was attended by Dr. Effin Martiana (Mrs.) (HOD), Head of Legal Bureau, Secretariat General, Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries as the head of the Indonesian delegation.
At the meeting, data on imports and exports of fishery products were exchanged traceability of aquatic products. They also discussed cooperation in exchanging the implementation of the Agreement on Port State Measures, including the exchange of lists of national coordinators in the field of document verification on import, export, and compliance control. From this discussion, it helped build a relationship between the Thai Department of Fisheries and the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries of the Republic of Indonesia in import control and export of fishery products exchange of experiences in solving IUU fishing problems, controlling fishing vessels and fisheries of both countries and inquiring about the progress of the fishing quota allocation policy in the waters of the Republic of Indonesia.
