Early Winter, Strong Waves in Pattani Found a Turtle Floating with The Wreckage of The Net

18th December, 2021 Department of Marine and Coastal Resources by Department of Marine and Coastal Resources Research Center, Lower Gulf of Thailand Notified that a rare marine life was found washed ashore. Located on the beach, Don Sai Subdistrict, Mai Kaen District, Pattani Province. The examination results were Chelonia mydas tortoises, shell length 40 cm, shell width 39.5 cm, weight 7.6 kg. No microchip number found floating with old fishing nets Initially, the tortoise had a good response. There are strapped marks on both front legs and neck. The staff then brought it back for treatment and will consider the condition after restoration to consider before releasing it back to nature.
