The Deputy Prime Minister meets with the Committee to Solve Marine Fisheries Problems No. 3/2023

On Friday, December 15th, 2023, at the conference room, the Office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Commerce Deputy Prime Minister Chaired the meeting of the committee to solve marine fisheries problems. To revive marine fisheries and the fishing industry No. 3/2023


The Deputy Director-General of the Fisheries Department serves as committee member and secretary Together with the Advisor to the Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives, the Advisor to the Deputy Prime Minister, the 2nd Vice President, and representatives from related agencies such as the Department of Employment, the Department of Labor Protection and Welfare, the Marine Department, the Royal Thai Navy, and the Royal Thai Police. , Department of Marine and Coastal Resources, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Interior, experts from The Thai Chamber of Commerce, the Federation of Thai Industries, as well as from the Fisheries Association of Thailand, the Local Fishermen's Association of Thailand, etc., attended the meeting.



This meeting the meeting acknowledged

1) the resolution of the meeting of the Special Committee to consider, study, and recommend amendments to laws related to fishing businesses to be appropriate and fair to both fishing operators and the fishing businesses system, including the developments in amending the Fisheries Royal Decree up to the present.

2) Progress of the subcommittee on the amendment of secondary laws related to the fisheries sector

3) Solving the problems of green oil projects in the contiguous zone


In addition, There has been consideration of

1) the draft bill amending the Fisheries Royal Decree 2015 and its amendments

2) the movements of the EU and NGOs abroad country Subject: Amendment of Thailand's Fisheries Royal Decree
