The DoF Meets Subcommittee on Assistance and compensation for Damages in the Fishing Secto

On Wednesday, December 13th, 2023, at the Fisheries Department, the Deputy Director-General of the Fisheries Department Chaired the meeting of the Subcommittee on Assistance and Compensation for Damage in the Fisheries Sector No. 1/2023

With the Director of the Marine Fisheries Research and Development Division, the Director of the Fishing Vessel and Fisheries Management Division, the Director of the Finance Management Division, and representatives from the Marine Department, Comptroller General's Department, Office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, Naval Dockyard Department, Thai Shipyard and Ship Repair Association.

Relevant officials who attended the meeting acknowledged the order and resolutions of the committee to solve marine fisheries problems to revive marine fisheries and the fishing industry ready to jointly consider the following issues:

1.Operational framework of the Subcommittee on Assistance and Compensation for Damage in the Fishing Sector

2. Project for Assistance and Compensation for Damage in the Fisheries Sector

3. Project for taking fishing boats out of the system for sustainable management of marine fisheries resources

4. Consideration of business days for fishing
