Training course The importance of conservation and management of marine mammals

On Tuesday, August 30th, 2020, at 9:00 a.m., at the meeting room at Had Saeng Chan Resort, Muang District, Rayong Province, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Fisheries. presided over the opening of the training course "The Importance of Marine Mammal Conservation and Management", Class 6, during August 30th - 31th, 2022, for fishermen in Trat, Chonburi, and Rayong provinces who are members of the Local fishing community, 30 people.

With the objective to increase knowledge Understanding of marine mammal conservation and management measures including saving lives and keeping the life of marine mammals safe from the inattention of fishermen attached to fishing gear This training is, therefore, to publicize fishermen to avoid and increase caution in fishing. that may affect the ecosystem both directly and indirectly to the livelihoods and habitats of marine mammals This will be an important measure that the United States will apply to all countries that export aquatic products to the United States by 2023.


In addition, the Deputy Director-General was Also honored to be a guest speaker for a special lecture on the topic "Department of Fisheries Policy in Fisheries Management" with details of the fishery in Sections 4,25,26,28,32,33,34 and 66, including the Net Free project. Seas that the Department of Fisheries has also worked with the EJF Foundation.
