Visited the Rescue area for Live Beached Sea Turtles in Songkhla before Releasing them into The wild

On January 8th, 2023, Rare Marine Animals Group staff Under the Marine and Coastal Resources Research Center in the Lower Gulf of Thailand Was notified by the headman of Village No. 8, Ban Wat Wat that a live sea turtle was found beached on the seashore in Village No. 7, Ban Chai Thale Village, therefore brought it to rest at Village No. 8, Wat Khanun Sub-district, Singhanakhon District, Songkhla Province and informed the authorities.

Rare marine animal group staff with veterinarians have entered the area. Preliminary examination found a Hawksbill sea turtle (Eretmochelys imbricata), gender unknown, carapace length 35 cm., width 30 cm., weight 3 kg. Barnacles were found clinging to the abdominal carapace, but no wounds, so it was moved to inspect detailed diagnosis, treatment, and recovery before being released back to nature.
